Lara Tafel is a Dallas professional with experience as an associate attorney with Thurman & Andres, PC. She holds a juris doctor earned at the Baylor University School of Law, where she received the Order of Barristers Buck J. Wynne Natural Resources Award and was a quarterfinalist in the Dawson-Sodd Moot Court Competition. She is a sustaining lifetime member of the Baylor Law Alumni Association. Lara Tafel also holds an undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, where she majored in fashion merchandising with a minor in business administration. Following her graduation at TCU, she completed the Executive Development Program at Neiman Marcus, where she served as an assistant buyer.
Lara Tafel is a member of the National Charity League (Heart of Dallas Chapter) where she earned the Mother Daughter Service Award in 2025 & 2026. She served on the Board of Dallas Children's Theater, and is an avid supporter of Dallas United Crew as well as Community Partners of Dallas. In 2025, she received the Community Partners of Dallas’ 10th Anniversary Champions of Hope Award.
